A Brief History of Aggie Beagles

Aggie Beagles had its beginning in 1981 when Brenda Ahlhardt obtained a pet male beagle puppy while attending Texas A & M University.  She named him Aggie’s Dreamwork Patchwork and he went by the call name of “Dreamer”. When he became six months old, she started entering him in AKC licensed shows and her excitement grew as he started winning, including a major win.  Unfortunately “Dreamer” continued to grow and soon he exceeded the 15” maximum height.  Subsequently, “Dreamer” spent the rest of his life as Brenda’s house pet. Nevertheless, her interest in showing dogs continued and she acquired some new show stock and Aggie Beagles had its beginning that produced many Champions, including some top winning beagles in the United States. We hope you will visit the following pages and become acquainted with a few of our past and present beagles.
